"Podcasts! There's a million of them and they’re all amazing!" So said Parks and Recreation's Tom Haverford. Here's a round-up of a few podcasts I've been listening to recently.

Song Exploder

In Song Exploder songwriters discuss how they wrote a particular song and play some of the individual tracks the songs is made up of. The latest episode features Matt Berninger and Aaron Dessner of The National discussing 'Sea of Love' from 2013's 'Trouble Will Find Me'. There's also a weekly newsletter that suggests five songs to listen to.

Final Draft Insider

The Insider podcast from Final Draft features interviews with screenwriters about their craft. Some of the writers you may not have heard of, as their work has only recently been bought by studios or won industry awards. Other interviews feature screenwriters of current films or television shows. The latest episode features 'Foxcatcher' screenwriters Dan Futterman and E.Max Frye discussing how the film got made and the difficulties of adapting a true story for the screen.

UK Scriptwriters

Another writing podcast, the latest episode features an interview with Andrew Ellard, Script Editor for shows such as The IT Crowd and Cardinal Burns.
