Good Times Never Seemed So Good

Comedy, 55 minutes, one act

One male, Two females

Good Times Never Seemed So Good is a one act play that played as part of 'Star Stricken', a double bill for the 2014 Glasgow International Comedy Festival at the CCA on Sauchiehall Street. The other play was Karen Barclay's 'Emily Entwistle'. Both centered around the theme of celebrity.

The cast for both plays was Frankie MacEachean, Johanna Harper and Paul Kozinski.

Mark's always been searching for a thing in life. This time he thinks he's found it. He's going to be a Neil Diamond impersonator. But the tribute act scene in the West of Scotland is far from the Hot August Nights the real thing enjoys. As Mark attempts to negotiate the pitfalls of venues, lawsuits and the other acts his relationship with girlfriend Laura starts to show the strain.

There are a couple of reviews from West End Dreamer and Glasgow Theatre Blog.  The first scene is available to download as a Word document on the Writing page. Below are some rehearsal photographs taken by me.
